But what do they call a Barrel of Monkeys these days?

Speaking of band names… Country Joe and the Fish refers not to Country Joe McDonald and the band, but only to Joe and his musical partner/foil, Barry "The Fish" Melton.  Or at least that's what Melton used to claim.  I have no reason to doubt him.

Here's my situation.  I finished bingeing through what netflix has streaming, season 4.  I don't have cable so next up is whatever discs they've got from season 5.  I'm getting there….

Pocketa goddamn pocketa.
I will not see this movie.

Does Red Sonja still have that rule about how she won't have sex with a guy unless he beats her in a fight?  Because jesus, that's a weird rule to have.

Okay, this is why Random Roles can be so damn good:  I honestly have never seen one episode of whatever Trek show Frakes has been on, and have seen him in only a very few of these roles mentioned….
But when RR gets a good interviewee, that stuff doesn't matter a damn.  Another one for the ever-expanding top ten list,

^ this.  I've never understood the "alt" part regarding Fulks.  Sure a lot of his lyrics are darker (and funnier) than traditional country, but most of his songs fit squarely in the old-timey camp, without being parodies.

Yeah, I have to steer clear of BB stuff,  I know.  But I'm in the middle of the "I am the one who knocks" episode, and… having seen that quote everywhere already, I have to say it STILL knocked me out.  For one thing, I hadn't been sure what it referred to, and I damn sure didn't know who he was speaking to.  Holy

"… information as to how those songs will get out there is still a little unclear."

"Spock’s mother’s last name (Grayson)"   So then, she's related to the Flying Graysons?  Robin's great-whatever granddaughter?

I can't wait till they do this with Breaking Bad.

" …"Cocaine," a song that's become synonymous with Clapton"

He's also got the SNL sketch about Anne Boleyn (with Candice Bergman and Phil Hartman) in the book.  It's really funny, and I think one of those ones they put toward the end of the night — not everyone would be amused.

Glad someone mentioned the Swartzwelder books - I've read a few of them and they're among the funniest things ever… although I can't remember one plot point.  And who cares?  (There's a line in one, where the narrator is musing about how he might not be all that smart, and says "we just don't know.  We don't have

And yet when I do the same thing, people look at me like I'm crazy.

Know what?  whenever I think of Cheers, that is actually the episode I think of.  That final slide of the beer mug, Sam slipping the bottle cap into his pocket (that's what I remember, I might be wrong) is just the perfect ending to the episode.  I'd argue that it would have been a great final episode for the whole

I liked seeing this.  I'm netflicking Breaking Bad at a pretty fast clip, starting season 4 today… and it's good that the cast seems to have fun, because man oh man, the show can get pretty dark…

Notlob.

Given Soderbergh's Richard Lester connection, I was gonna say that THIS is the sequel.  The Knack (and How to Get it) was made in 1965.
