Any guesses or hopes for movies on this week's topic?  I have an irrational fondness for The Sentinel, because it has a scary, revelatory moment right in the middle, not at the end.
Plus, you know.   Circus freaks.  And lest you think I'm dissing Kiefer Sutherland's looks — DIFFERENT The Sentinel movie….

Don't be too hard on Marah (who at the very least has the same name as one of my favorite bands).  I don't think she's stating anything too controversial - — Self-Portrait is still regarded as his worst of that period. Not by me, exactly..I agree that it's better than generally thought, but… but it's the one I don't…

One thing it's hard for some people to get is… at one time Bob Dylan was one of the most famous people in the world; and for people of a certain age, THE most famous.  A lot of what he did during the 60s and even into the 70s (The '65 Newport Folk Festival, Nashville Skyline, Dylan's seclusion after his motorcycle…

What I get from reading this is that Ben Affleck will be making a movie of Dennis Lehane's Live By Night, and that could be a very good thing.
Or it could be a total bomb - the age spans of the main characters in the novel won't be easy to get on film, but…. I'll see it unless it gets a C minus on AVC.  Deal?

Well… I really really don't like his acting.   He's not Keanu bad, but he's bad.  That said, I did see that Ghost Protocol thing on a plane, and it was actually really good —- though I'd consider that more due to Brad Bird than to Cruise.
