I loved Fear of Falling as precisely that, a kind of "free sample" to introduce people to Sandman, so I think it's not that fair to compare it to the other stories which were whole issues of an ongoing series (or a special, if I'm not mistaken about The Song of Orpheus).

Although I kinda laughed at the Patrice stuff this week, I much preferred the previous gags, where Robin seemed annoyed by her without a clear cause. I'm just a sucker for non provoked irritation.

That was probably the best TV moment of that year. But that's the thing, this show excels at that kind of off-beat, situational juxtaposition humor, more than witty one liners or other stuff that they could use for a stand up comedienne.

I noticed the caller ID thing a different way: I thought it was weird it had Cary's name when he as using he's office phone, which I assume would only show as an office number, Cary having his own extension.
