upvoted but…yikes.

I'd rather see a "Bus Uncle" movie directed by Tsui Hark than anything, ever. That would be amazing.

So…thanks? for reminding me of the half-episode of this I saw. What the hell happened to that guy?

That apology is totally unnecessary! I liked it.

Beats me. Embrace it.

We're neglecting his contribution to pop music here:

The moment in Sonatine…I wasn't squicked out by it, although I guess the point somewhere in this thread about gratuitous nudity for the director's benefit might apply. But she's enigmatic/underwritten because *everyone* is enigmatic/underwritten here. It felt to me like another one of the games getting played to pass

…and now, I think I do too.

'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover'
'Curated by the faculty with discussion afterwards.'
Bloody hell…

What the hell was it with 'Romancing the Stone'? I've seen that damn film at least ten times without wanting to - I'm pretty sure that includes at school, but at this point it's all dissolved into a single vague Douglassy Bird-on-a-Wirey memory. Not that it's terrible or anything - it was just kind of there. Always.

Giving you a 'like' for that just doesn't seem like enough - I wish there was a 'flag this post for total awesomeness' option.

1776 = the best thing I have discovered via this website. It is bizarrely awesome.

:D

That is a gimmick account that desperate-lee needs to exist!

'So then we can all learn that the English are evil evil people, and
anyone who fought against them were absolutely perfect in every way.'

*turns the innuendo switch off for a minute*
Hey, I did. I was…young. The theme song still pops into my head at inopportune moments. Would actually be really curious to see it again - not because I expect it to be good, but because the inherent 'no homo'ness of the premise means it might have aged fascinatingly badly.

I don't want to live in a world where the Fonz - the Fonz! - is not a ratings-drawing guest star…

I just did, and this is the first thing that came up:

And is there no love for the fake NPR guy? Not that I can remember his name, unfortunately, but he was fun.

All I know it that he looked awesome in it. He should really just rock a late 80s/early 90s look permanently.
