What a surprise, Family Guy shows and episode which centres on Brian, with Stewie backing up, and it's a hit!! Every single sentimental episode with Brian and Stewie which they've ever done ("Road to Rhode Island" and "Brian and Stewie" mainly) have been cleverly written, touching and funny at the same time!

They're really not! At any opportunity critics like to slate Family Guy for all it's worth! But this episode was actually one of Family Guy's few (truly great) episodes and, like "Road to Rhode Island", easily deserves it A-

This episode was probably the best yet this season (with a Brian and Stewie based episode next week, it may be overtaken). But the intro scene showed great observation by the creators, they got the Monty Python idea spot on!

I think this was the best episode so far this season - it was funny and it had an actual storyline too!

Road to Rhode Island is the only Family Guy episode I can think of that deserves an A - it had no smut, no lazy jokes, just a heart-warming storyline and a few great jokes.

All of the characters have become shadows of their former selves, now that they have reached 200 episodes I doubt Family Guy will last much longer. You're right, Brian and Stewie have become toned down versions of what they were, but they're still funnier and wittier than any other character on the show (because they

For now I guess, it'll probably be born again by the next episode :)

You can't just watch one episode in a few years and call the whole show crap!!!

Erm, because it was!! Look at Family Guy nowadays, most of the time it's just unoriginal storylines, repeated jokes and/or sick humour!! Whereas in "Brian and Stewie" they left the repetitive, one-joke characters behind alone with the cutaways, and just did something totally different!! It was original in Family Guy

"Period…" such a sad failure at a comeback!! Some people do, and besides it helped because you don't have to type out their full names every time!! Anyway they are the shows best characters, and if you read above you may agree, comment on that instead of pointless crap!!

It's pretty clear why they use Brian and Stewie for their landmark episodes - they are easily better characters than any other on the show!
