I'm hoping it will cohere upon further listens, but at the moment I'm in
the same boat.  Shame, because Sacrilege really had me pumped.  The album lacks direction, and their lyrics, for some reason, stand out to me as much more cringe-worthy than they've been in the past.

Aw, @avclub-b22b95593e42f8875155a84dc8a8ab75:disqus , I'm sure I'm not the only one who preferred your pithy weekly breakdowns to Grantland.  Fuck the haters and all that.

Harry did give him that money and told him to go to Los Angeles.  Paul just gave up writing hacky spec scripts and took up cryptography instead.  Works for me.

I had a hell of a time convincing my fiance that Rachel Blanchard, Heather Graham, and Alicia Silverstone are NOT the same person.  He eventually took IMDB's word for it, but only under scrutiny.

Ugh, never has there been a bigger waste of an actor perfect for a particular show.  They'd better give Rutger Hauer something to do, or…I'd say I'd stop watching, but since I'm STILL watching, I wouldn't be fooling anyone.

Aw, Dutch.  My favorite character on the show.  I've been watching The Shield for the first time over the last few months, and for a while there in the 4th (I think, not going to look it up) season I was afraid they were going to turn him into a child pornographer/molester/something or other.  Instead they just had

Yeah, same here.  I liked the song, but daaamnit.

I'll protect what little cred I have by mentioning that I was working at the Blockbuster from which I received the shirt, and I nabbed it 'cause I loved the viral campaign for Cloverfield.  Netflix 4 Lyf and such.

Promotional Blockbuster material?  That's where I got mine.  I treasure it.

Roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding is a huge comfort food/nostalgia trip meal for me.  It's like a cake-y, pan-sized popover.

Yeah, I love this.

I approve of this gimmick.  Pity you've only 4 posts.

Oh, Nathanael West.  I just read A Cool Million, and I can definitively say that no one does Depression-era allegory/satire like he does.  Pity you didn't like The Day of the Locust; I wonder if my having read it in conjunction with Miss Lonelyhearts affected my opinion of it.

Love to see someone who regularly reads drama.  Plays are such a good palette cleanser, and a markedly different reading experience.  In many ways I feel the same way about them as I do graphic novels.  I just loaned The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh to a friend of mine; really hoping he enjoys it, as I've never met

Saunders' stories inspire the oddest reaction in me.  After I finish a collection, I feel terribly dissociated and a bit depressed, but also comfortable with my station in life and the choices I've made to get here.  No One Belongs Here More Than You, by Miranda July, has the same effect.

I decided to do 100 books in a year, beginning April '12, and I'm on #94 (Love in the Days of Rage by Lawrence Ferlinghetti).  I've never been so proud of something that no one else could give less of a shit about.

Read A Tale of Two Cities for the first time about six months ago.  I can't believe I hadn't picked it up before then (I'm 23), and it has seriously changed my admittedly uninformed previous opinions about Dickens.  Sidney Carton is one of the best-written tragic characters I've encountered.  I might tackle Bleak

I recently watched The Mindy Project for the first time despite initial skepticism, then devoured all the available episodes on Hulu.  I was so surprised my how much I identify with Mindy Kaling's point of view, as I consider myself a fairly down-to-earth, levelheaded woman, and I couldn't help but associate her with

I bought Adverbs out of a dollar bin, having never read Handler/Snicket,  wholly expecting to read the first couple chapters and donate it to Goodwill or something.  I was pleasantly surprised, and "charming" really is the right word for it.  It's light on plot, but the wordplay is great.

@avclub-b97ca122d91f0a094bbf3f9808f4daf5:disqus  I kind of expected that to be the general response, but I still feel that the absolute lack of emotion to their scenes is inexcusable.  I understand their appeal as a couple objectively, but I also think their scenes together were a detriment to the show.
