My guess was that he'd seen the movie so many times that he decided to just skip to the good parts.

Frisky Dingo is 2 straight seasons of lines like this.

Even the little nerdlets wanted Shawn. There are "normal" kids and there are nebbishes, and Savage falls into the latter category.

PANCAKES! One of the three movies I've walked out on (the other two were Bandits and Your Highness).

This showed up on the Recycler, and yeah. Party Down caused the massive crush I have on him, and Parks & Rec kicked it into overdrive.

All of the songs that The Pillows did for FLCL are really good, "Little Busters" probably being my favorite.

Immortal serial killer - IN SPACE! (Jason X)
Nameless military grunt - IN SPACE! (Starship Troopers)

Six Feet Under
Though it got more mean-spirited the longer it ran, SFU was worthwhile throughout. Ruth was always awful, IMO, but I loved George as a character as soon as he began to lose it. I thought that having Nate die several eps before the end of s5 then showing the aftermath was interesting, and the finale

I agree that the 4th season finale would have made a great one for the series. Brock running back to the hangar to that Pulp song was perfect. I'm guessing the 5th will be their last, and I'm sure I will enjoy it as much as the previous 4. Not sure how I'll feel if they get renewed past 5, though…last thing I'd

Good to hear that about Titus Alone; that trilogy is a monolith, and knowing that the last one is skippable may bump it up on my to-read queue.

@Sheltie: 30 Rock had an amusing one a while back. "It wouldn't be a Lemon party without old Dick!"

Gotta love the Adam Reed key-fob click.

Couple things.
If Gabe turns out to be the Scranton Strangler, it will redeem this season for me many times over. I'd considered it before, but Erin breaking up with him and Toby's bit at the end have me convinced it is him.

That typo's in the third paragraph of the Slither review. So it exists, but in this context is irrelevant.

I usually stay away from posthumous works, and I struggled for a while with whether or not to read this; decided that I'm going to. I can't not read it.

Yeah, Whit Stillman would knock it out of the park. Hadn't considered that before.

Daniel Clowes
+1

Snackie Onassis just edges out Count Snackula in the stable of Adam Reed's snack-related puns.

Hooray!
See subject line! I've missed you, Comics Panel.
