Most of the episode seemed a solid A.  One moment knocked it down to B+ for me.  That scene in the casino?  Where one guy with a machine gun is firing at the Hood, and another with glass in his eyes is firing the opposite way?  Mind telling me how that woman managed to run in between a machine gun crossfire and end up

I know, right?  I think it's something about the knives, too.  The flour-caked aliens have lightsabers and ridiculous bathing suits, sure, but  you have to admire the Irathients' fierceness….

As a show that's running on pure potential, Defiance reminds me of two shows I recently watched.  The first was Haven, which had a frustrating first season but interesting setting and mystery.  It evolved into something more than a substandard freak-of-the-week, with some genuinely jawdropping moments and its own wry

I kind of wish there wasn't a line there.  Amy's look and the laughter were enough.

Alphas!  Alphas love!  It happened!

I can't believe it either.  It's weird.

Green Arrow and Black Canary weren't together on Smallville, right?  So there's hope?

Really?  When She Was Bad seemed like the worst of the openings, and that includes biker demons and dracula.

Andromeda was AMAZING the first season.  Unfortunately, Sorbo's ego grew too big and squeezed out all the quality.

This is a really odd show to be watching in St. Louis…  The sight of the Arch without the Mississippi river next to it almost makes me queasy.

2) No.  You can see the Millennium Inn in the shot of old St. Louis, which stood - wait, stands, it's still standing - a similar height. Well, similar enough to make those shots impossible.   The Arch migrated to the top of the ground somehow.

Bad eggs was worst of all.

Actually, Teen Wolf is a LOT like this (at least the first three episodes).  Right down to the pacing and acting.

I was on the third episode.  Thank you for saving me from the rest of it.

There have been moments before showing that Zhukov and Elizabeth were close.  They hinted it almost every damn time Zhukov was on the screen before today.  This was not a sudden reveal.

Yep.  But if the Americans discovered that info immediately after she was briefed, it would be kind of obvious that she was to blame.

It kind of warms my heart to see older dogs on TV.  There's something about seeing a being that has lived a long life and still seems happy despite infirmity.  It gives me hope for the future, I guess.

(edited. Not sure if it would violate spoiler policy)

That's what I got too.  Of course, it could just be fanwank over the horribly overdone trope of a guy being so good, prostitutes wouldn't accept his money.

I always thought it was Kasima with a K, but the BBC site backs you up..  Huh.
