Nice to see Homeland win for best casting (especially considering the Showtime bigwigs didn't want them to cast Damian Lewis), Maurice LaMarche for voice-over (Futurama) and Southland for stunt coordination.

@avclub-989ca0fe3ec0682c7349593ff5feb4a4:disqus yeah I was referring to the RFTC album. It's got a few good tracks but it's just a bit too out of character for them for me. A little too much of a polished/mainstream sound with way too many love songs (not that I don't care for that stuff ever, just not from RFTC). …

Slightly off-topic, but I would've like to have seen a Great Job, Internet! compilation of TV commercials from 1992. For some reason nothing (other than music) takes me back to a certain era like seeing what commercials were like back then.

Yes! I'll still watch Sneakers from time to time to this day. Since it revolves pretty heavily around technology, that dates it a bit but the cast is fantastic - one of the best assembled for a single movie IMO.

I would tend to concur that they got better with age, aside from their self-titled album (which I don't really care for, but only relative to all their other stuff). Group Sounds is #1 for me.

I've only heard of Plan B, and only because I'm going to see Ill Manors at TIFF this weekend. Where does that rank me on the hipster continuum?

Moriarty, Noth, Orbach, and Waterston: that's what made the show great for me. Once Orbach passed away and Waterston was shuffled into the background I lost interest. Also liked Florek and Merkerson, but Hennessy, Lowell, and the underused Richard Brooks were the only ADAs I cared for.
