Eh, I get it. Isn't that the album that turned all the Johnny-come-latelies (including myself) on to Yo La Tengo? "Autumn Sweater" was inescapable.

I really like the back half of that album, although I often fall asleep listening to it on buses, trains, etc.

I'd enjoy a future plot where he leaves the mother and goes after Robin. Let's be real.

GREENLIT

I noticed something was off but couldn't figure out what it was until they told me.

Maybe my favorite line.

I don't think Miller's Crossing is that good. HERESY, I know, but it's one of my least favorite Coen brothers movies. Just rent Blood Simple, since you're already at the video store.

Are you sure everybody on the internet knows you're apparently male?

I actually really like this style of trailer. Like the one Jimmy Stewart did for "Rear Window", which got played at some indie house I went to. I guess it's worse if the movie is shit.

I get the impression Tony is indebted to hell, anyway. He talks about his second mortgage and when they're talking about the problems of the development in Spain it sounds like their property has lost a lot of value. Although that might not be the intended subtext.

Oh man, time for a little gentile smackdown about your… "use" of the word "schlep."

Uh, you mean, the best song on that album?

FINALLY, the AV Club takes on the Palestine question! And on a Sean O'Neal article, no less! I've been waiting for this day!

Me too. I'm banking on this being 50% recap so I can skip it.

I forget the exact moment, but it's right when they're first pulling up to Candieland, I believe in Sam Jackson's first scene. It's a different laugh from his usual in-character laugh.
