Well 'Marshall Mathers LP' and 'The Eminem Show' most definitely still stand up, and are considered downright classic Hip Hop albums at this point. I've never heard anyone really question their status or their greatness and I see no reason to.
If you watched how Pharrell and Chad Hugo made their Star Trak roster, it was usually full of hustler rappers, which I'm assuming Pharrell is a big fan of. Times changed though, and people don't know the guy from those Slim Thug songs or even 'Hot Damn (Remix).'
