"Top Chef" is a game show.
It's like knocking "The Price Is Right" for product placement.

Yeah but, I find it distracting (except for Kill Bill's KaBoom Cereal) when fake products are used or gaffers tape is placed over the Mustang grille. 
As long as they are not writing ads into the storyline I'm fine with using Reese's Pieces.

Season 1 is very well done.
I think it was years in the writing and development and it shows.
Season 2 the writing takes a nose dive into cliche land.
But these is no reason not to watch season 1.

Rewatched the season with a family member recently.
In a marathon the story just cooks until boils over in the finale!
Funny, thrilling, suspenseful, shocking sometimes all the the same scene!
Best TV writing since the days of Rod Serling and Paddy Chayefsky.

I love Louis.
