We are watching different shows then.
I think I might have a bit of an advantage in being fully unaware of the source material - I see this as a television show only, and view each episode as it's presented to me, with no prejudgments or expectations. With that being said, I feel like I'm watching a different show than this reviewer. This is absolutely…
Both Etan and Vanessa were susceptible because they were alone. Yes Ethan "broke free" when Hecate died, but he was also surrounded by those who love him, and Sir Malcolm killed arguably the darkest influence in Ethan's life - his father. Ethan admits he could not do it, he needed Sir Malcolm to set him free from the…
Gah. You are seriously looking to get your right hand cut off. Ugh.
No.
I have no knowledge of the comics, and I absolutely thought that it was not a flashback, that it was the same guys back again. It was not set up as a flashback at all. Since there is a vampire in this story, as well as some outer space force inside of Preacher, I accept that the two guys Cassidy killed could and would…
I have no knowledge of the graphic novel(s?) this is based on and watching the teasers for the show had me part intrigued and part skeptical, but I gave it a go - I like Dominic Cooper's work a lot and also liked Ruth Negga's work on AOS. The pilot had me invested, but after tonight I said out loud "I love this show."…
It's because Ravi IS the best. (Well, so is Lyle.)
In Clarke's defense, in real life her demeanor borders on mugging because her very expressive eyebrows just move the way they do naturally - it's the way her face works. I've seen her in a lot of interviews and her eyebrows bounce all over the place. Her face is what my mother used to call a "rubber face," extremely…
Agree 1000%. I don't know how she'd be in the acting dept as Dany, but on The Tudors, I had a very difficult time buying her as an irresistible beauty when she is very hard on the eyes. Looks do matter when the character is supposed to be a great beauty and although Merchant might be a good actress (she was fine on…
I want this show to be good. Sadly, it is not. Last year was chock-full of legitimate stars and the show was goofy fun with excellent acting, even though there were enough plot holes to herd every Abbie on the planet through. The plot holes were part of the fun, as was seeing serious top-tier actors play the whole…
I don't believe the reviewer knew. The izombie reference cracked me up precisely because Greg Finley seems to be making a career out of playing them on The CW (and I loved him on iZombie). In that spirit, Cisco's line was delightful.
These plots and characters, gah.
Oh my God.
I actually waited several days to watch this episode because I'm that sad it's ending. 😢
The trial has not yet begun.
It is explicit in the preview scenes of next week's episode, with Peter seated between Diane and Lucca at the defense table in court. And of course Eli would relinquish Diane's services so she could defend Peter. It's not even a question.
The show runner/decision-maker(s) should never work in Hollywood again. No one should hire them, ever. No broadcaster should buy their show, no production company should allow them to darken their door. Ever.
I'm pretty sure Sadie and Jake talk about her going "back to the future" with him, that it was their plan after stopping the assassination. However, since Oswald killed her, it wasn't an option.
