I'd put "Mr. Ruggerio's Neighborhood" for being entertaining as fuck, and "University" for it being a perfect example of of David Chase knocking the wind of its viewers with that depressing episode as among the best. Otherwise, this is a solid, bite sized overview of this great series.

I went to the May Day Parade at Union Square this year, and Tom Morello played and it was the most groan inducing thing ever.

From what I know, it seemed that Homeland was more popular with older, unhip viewers, and award show voters are mostly older, unhip people. Not to shit on the show or anything, but a political drama is like catnip for these people (See the West Wing winning every goddamn year in the early 2000s).
