What, no mention of Jeannie's fucking the guy who's supposedly Marty's biggest supporter amongst the partners?

As Forte might say (in a Tim and Eric sketch): Fuuuuuuuuuuuck you!
You misheard her awkward delivery. She correctly pointed out Cardoz as the Top Chef Masters season 3 winner, and named the other two as just "Top Chef Masters". I'm not sure if it is because they were contestants (I remember the female chef but not the Takashi dude) or if she was just using it as an adjective.
How is Paul a dark horse? He won like every other challenge throughout the season (including tonight's).
Yeah it would be much more plausible for mid-level gangsters to come back to the present day and set up petty crime networks, despite the fact that they have no clue about the modern world whatsoever and organized crime has presumably changed just a teensy bit in the 40+ years they've been out of the game.
Not true. One or two of the crimes started with a dead guard at Alcatraz and I remember in another episode Soto was listening over the police wire and heard something that he realized might have to do with a 63.
Yeah in this case it makes sense because he's been looking for the Twin Trees bomb for years so he probably would check into a report of a public bombing just to make sure it wasn't the missing bomb from back then (although how would the mines lay dormant in a public place for so long…)
I'd love to hear about some of these supposed plot holes in Fringe.
Did anyone else get the impression that the veteran jockey (Ronnie?) purposely arranged to get thrown from Nolte's horse so that he could get another prescription for oxy or whatever pain medication they gave him? I think it has been implied that he struggled with addiction and that was why he was out of the game for…
I think there's a difference for most people between killing a pig for sustenance on a show like Survivor and killing a fucking horse. Also, I'm confident that Survivor is not filmed outside of the US in order to bypass humane society standards. Somehow I don't think there are many isolated tropical islands or other…
What a shitty review. I liked this episode just fine. Pee Wee was surprisingly really funny and the bike challenge was pretty cool (although I agree that it was a bit gimmicky for a late-season episode). It's just hard for me to imagine what exactly pissed off the reviewer so much.
Animal cruelty? No the break wasn't real, jackass. Are you even serious? It was a plot point. This isn't a reality show, it's a made up drama. Geesh.
Also, I think they made it clear that only two of the guys were horse-betting gurus and that the other two were tag-alongs who helped by ponying up (see what I did there?) some of the cash for pooled bets. They rely on the other guys for the expertise and picks. In the midst of a race, the average gambler or spectator…
He didn't get paid at the machine. He got a voucher, duh. If he wanted to cash the voucher he would have to fill out the IRS forms or have someone else do so if they cashed it for him. If your point of contention is that a machine will not print a voucher for that much, I think you're being nitpicky. It was easier to…
So what you're saying is you'd rather a show stick to the more typical television plotting. If it's not a cop, medical, lawyer, politics, etc. show that has clearly-defined genre conventions, you're not interested. Fair enough.
Somehow I don't think, "socially inept mother enters public political debate ill-fatedly" would have been on a card that the Three Stooges used to practice improv with. Your complaints sound like they could be directed at almost every network sitcom, especially any sitcom that aims for a broad audience.
Manny is not funny anymore. I'd say that about explains it.
I think the new kid is pretty funny. It helps that she can deliver lines instead of just morose stares.
I half-watch this show too. This week I was drawn away from what I was reading several times and got some laughs out of the show. For me, that's a pretty good episode of MF.
It wasn't as bad as you're making it out to be. Not great, but not irredeemably terrible. The courtroom stuff was actually more realistic than most legal dramas I've seen and I thought the line about defending criminals was pretty spot-on.
