I believe that was brought up in a scene from s02e01 that didn't appear in about half the broadcasts; he was in the same unit as her son, who died in a war.

It wouldn't have worked the way the episode was structured, but if there had been more breathing room at the end, I think his presence would have been a very effective cap. Having him appear mid-season 3 would remove the long suspense present between books.
I'll try not to spoil anything here, so let's just say that there's a decent enough explanation for why and how he's present in the third book, and he's probably the most interesting and important part of the fourth book
The protomolecule hybrid's death looked quite a bit like Gollum's end in Return of the King.
The Space broadcast of the show has the full credits every episode, and Florence Faivre has been in every single episode title despite not appearing since Episode 5, while Tom Jane disappeared after Miller died. I'm expecting that the first episode he's back will be as a "special guest star" credited after the…
I was rather disappointed we didn't get our last minute guest star in this episode.

I was the TA for an intro bio class where the professor spend most of his time either explaining outdated facts in excruciating detail or asking the students questions with answers that were so obvious that everyone thought they were a trick. His powerpoints were labelled "Carousel_1", "Carousel_2", "Carousel_3", etc.
I'm very curious to see how well this research controls for typing ability/experience. Someone who has been touch typing for since childhood likely has strong connections with the physical movements associated with using a keyboard (which, IIRC, is one of the explanation as to why hand-writers tend to learn material…
It works pretty well if you have a LaTeX environment that formats equations as you write.
I thought season 2 was really good. Then again, I've dropped most of the Arrowverse shows at least twice, and still haven't gotten around to picking up the latest seasons yet (though I heard this year's Arrow was a lot better than seasons 3 and 4). I'd still put iZombie above them.
I'm pretty sure that Captain America was never awakened in this.
Hell, without Coulson, Tony Stark would have died in Iron Man and Thor may never have recovered his hammer.
I haven't watched or stayed current with a number of those, but I think iZombie probably deserves to be higher up on that list.
Producers: "We've gotten a lot of good responses to the 'something awful happens to Fitz and he has a hard time recovering from it' storylines. Get us another one if you want a fifth season!"
Mac and Coulson not being in SHIELD could have had butterfly effects; perhaps without them, it was easier for HYDRA to manipulate events as they saw fit.
And to think people once said that this didn't seem like a real Whedon production.
In a meta sense, I think Daisy's refusal was an attempt to get more of the viewers to like her.
"Oh thank god she spared us from more of Lightning Bro."
I think a more nuanced view would be that he regretted not being the sort of hero that everyone believed he was.
Fitz is also sporting a full Richard Spenser haircut, for what its worth. They're not trying to be subtle about this.
If Fitz's dad was a big influence in his life growing up, things changed before 2008. Also, Coulson was never in SHIELD (IIRC, he was in Bahrain).
