@avclub-7e1ce4ce3124fd9ecc13a151afcff11b:disqus Yeah, I only say "completely" because by this point in the book, Martin was already planting the seeds (Arya's recurring dreams of running with the pack), and Jon had already had that one vision where he saw everything north of the Wall.

@avclub-001d507e80c4e4d2ce4ba0a5590f8313:disqus That would be awesome, and another prime example of them finding a place in the adaptation that actually strengthens the characters and traits we already know about them.

They've also completely dropped Jon and Arya's warging abilities, too. I wonder if they'll keep that ouf of the TV series completely? I'd certainly miss..

Thelma And Louise

That X is known as a St. Andrew's Cross. I know this, because of reasons.

MORE BOOK 4/5 SPOILERS

I think that's a very fair assumption, and one I fully expect to see realized.

Man, that dude is just industrial strength ick, isn't he?

I'm both laughing and fighting the urge to pelt you with rotten fruit.

That line got a big, "Aw, sweetheart!" from me. I know I've complained a bit about soft-pedaling some of Arya's escapades up until this point, but there can be no quarrel with Maise Williams. She's absolutely crushing everything they give her to do.

You shouldn't be throwing anybody, AimingforYoko. Not with your back.

I was slightly disappointed by the end of that scene, as I recall the conversation between Berric and Thoros about how many times he's been brought back being much better in the book. I liked that Berric was shocked and horrified to learn how many times, and scolds Thoros.

I was perusing the comments waiting for this film to show up, because it's the first one that came to my mind. I've never seen the visuals one gets from LSD so well recreated like that before.

Priming expectations is really only a lateral move from actual details. There's just no reason for it. Let 'em watch. Let 'em experience the story the way many of us did. Unsullied, as it were.

Doing his Tig Notaro on Conan homage!

That's great to hear. I loved watching The Layover (Bourdain's other show) because it looked so damn sumptuous all the time. Gorgeous looking TV. I was hoping he'd find the way to marry the look of that show with his No Reservations sensibilities, and from the comments it appears he has.

"Other networks" is the key there.

There was a lot of bemusement going around in that room! Even Tywin manages a smirk as Cersei places her chair beside him. It must have been a lovely morning in King's Landing!

Yeah, but the best part of those scenes, I thought, was the triumphant return of No Bullshit Dany. It feels like it's been a while since we've seen her as steely and assured as she was this episode. Loved it!
