What I like, and I believe they pulled off, is that the non-readers and newbies should now be going into next season actually rooting for Stannis after keeping him at arm's length for much of the story. That's pretty much exactly how Stannis developed in the book for me, too. Disliked him at first, didn't know what to

Damn! The experts move swiftly here! Deleting this 'cause y'all got it covered, and better than I did.

Lyndsy Fonseca… *swoon*

Won't you feel silly when it's just 42 minutes of premises because FX had to edit out all the punchlines to fit in the commercials! Hah!

Where they could be doing important janitorial work.

He has a wife. I thought one of the best moments from the beach scene was him starting to storm off after the Lightbringer ceremony, and he stops, 'Oh shit, yeah, my wife', and sort of half-heartedly extends his hand back towards her, then keeps walking.

Crypts. The same thing happened in the books. The tracks lead Theon and crew out into the wilds thinking they've escaped, but they manage to circle back and hide "in plain sight". I'm thinking they'll do the same in the show.

I don't know, but I'm just going to go ahead and blame them for Shia Lebeouf, too.

I couldn't be happier that I put this choice down today. Namaste, MCA.

I've always liked the Beastie Boys' "Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun" when I'm feeling riled. Seems to vibrate at that same frequency.

Here is what I know about Jack White: He should start a comedy team with Stephen Colbert as his perpetually slightly irritated and confused at his antics straight-man.

Sansa: Lady (killed by Ned last season)
Arya: Nymeria (chased off by Arya last season: whereabouts unknown)
Rickon: Shaggydog
Bran: Summer
Jon: Ghost
Robb: Greywind

HUGE spoilers. Talk of Clash of Kings flows freely, and many try to mark any spoilers beyond that book, but many don't get marked. Probably wise to just read these comments if you've a mind to not be spoiled on future events.

Maester Luwin mentioned the Children of the Forest when he was speaking to Bran about there being no magic left in the world at the beginning of the season.

When a girl gets her period. I believe somebody has already asked Sansa if she's "bled" yet, can't recall if it was Cersei or somebody else, but that's the only threshold.

It's the Summer of George…and winter is coming!

Renly is actually killed with his armor on, his throat is gashed open right through his gorget. For some reason they moved his death to the night before, rather than the dawn of, battle, which is why his armor was being removed. I'm presuming to cut down a bit more on the effects needed for the scene?

@avclub-600a51b7602a94be94712bbf272284a2:disqus , and now you know…the rest of the story… [/Paul Harvey]

Yes, you're probably better off. I was only mentioning this moment, but there's no telling where replies would go and you might end up reading something you don't want to read.

So this is not only for the user Herald, but also for myself.
