Alas, I haven't read the books (but I've started the first!), but only was spoiled of certain plot points. So I can't say how it compares to the book unfortunately.

Tyrion was fantastic. And Alfie Allen really killed it as Theon, it's hard not to feel for him. Such a conflicted character. I wish I wasn't spoiled about what went down in The House of the Undying so I wouldn't be so disappointed, though I enjoyed what happened in there regardless. April is too far away.
