His subconscious mind has made a link between Hannibal and the Ripper, but I'm not sure he 'knows' even deep down. He knew that the guy in the bathtub was not a Ripper victim but the elk lead him toward the bathroom in his visualization routine. There have been other cases where the elk showed up (the sleepwalk down

IIRC, season 2 is going to be Will's relationship with Hannibal falling apart, probably ending with the realization he's the Ripper and season three was going to be the Red Dragon arc, but I might be mentally eliding out something.

I've noticde Hannibal (the character) seems to have a taste for Baroque music that I feel is entirely fitting for his minutia-oriented perfectionism. I bet he's more of a Vivaldi and Albinoni man than Wagner or Beethoven.

@olivececile:disqus , as well you should be.I think an argument could be made for a touch of wendigoism at work in Hannibal. He eats people and is trying to influence others into eating people. And as I recall from the eponymous novel, he started his cannibalism in the face of imminent starvation.

Oh man, I LOVED the end of Wizards.

I'm not quite old enough to have seen that one in theaters, but it was one my mom loved so I saw it when I was pretty young and I'll say it holds a special place in my heart as well.

Trust me, Jimmy, you didn't miss anything important. It was a good episode, certainly, but its not necessary to have seen in order to keep watching.

Peggy will end up with a very valuable townhouse.  Legally all hers since they're not married.  Could make for an interesting breakup if Abe has a lot 'sweat equity' in the house.

I bet he'd be perfectly capable of doing it, but she would have more experience and watching it would give him more information about her, so he has ample reason to manipulate Watson into the autopsy.

I've always loved animated Batman's low-key sense of humor and deadpan delivery. He's got great timing, too.

If we can take "helped" to mean "killed the guy himself", I'd agree. I readily admit I may be wrong but that was what I thought they were pointing at. And so far this show has been good at carrying over bits of the on-going investigations into later episodes. I don't think they'd even started investigating the crime

It's one of my favorite movies as well. I already had a weakness for anything related to the wendigo, plus I always seem to like Jeffery Jones, but Ravenous was a success way beyond what I had hoped for.

What was done to the mushroom people was SO much creepier than this. I mean, this was horrifying but the thought of being helplessly consumed alive by mushrooms over the course of weeks or months? Yeah, that's creepy.

@Kumagoro:disqus  , no you are not. I have the impression that everything Hannibal does is done for amusement value.

I love the phrase "sassy science squad" to describe the techs.

There are probably some lower end ones with yachts or something on them, too.

That had to be a reference to a piece of art, didn't it? Maybe something where a saint is looking up as an angel descends? I thought the way the light diffused through the backdrop made it look like the gold leaf the Byzantines used for background in icons.

He sends the card when she dies during the course of the story (it happens in the novel and movie).

I think this show is doing a lot of what you might call unreliable narrator POV stuff. We see things from a particular character's point of view - the shots of the Angelmaker choosing his victim are what he is seeing, not what is objectively there. The same is true with the Will scenes like his conversation with the

Well it seems like there are scores of active serial killers in Miami, so they must have their hands full. You get to a certain point where you have so much work to do that the quality of everything suffers.
