Man, they were old school beats. They were, um, beatnicking around way before any of those posers like Ginsberg.

I use variants on this line all the time. It seems like such a perfect encapsulation of a sort of uselessness I see so much of.
Shouldn't that 'un' be moved back if it's going to be a general tag.
I heard about a newer version that not only runs away, but hides…and gets better at hiding the longer you use it.
Ah, Doris Grau. The world became a darker place when you left it (although the reduction in cigarette smoke may have counter-balanced that).
Oh, great, now I'm going to want to be able to use a schwa to grade things and not be able to. Darned "A-F" grading scale!
I have to say that "You Only Move Twice" is one of my personal favorites. It has what I consider one of the best depictions of "real world"/James Bondy super villainy I've ever seen, and one of the very few where the bad guy in question seems both insane and a genius - and who's plans worked!
Can we call you an old-fashioned xenophobe? Because I hear thems the best kind.
So if they were twins, what's to say they aren't both still alive. We've noted before that Stan's hat seems to change from episode to episode. Are they identical twins sharing one identity?
Funny you should mention that. It was his review of 'Dark City' that turned me into a true fan of his writing. I'd seen it and read several reviews that just seemed to have kind of missed the point of the movie, and then I read his and felt like I'd genuinely shared a moment with the man even though we were hundreds…
I get the feeling Littlefinger is kind of like Heath Ledger's Joker in that he creates chaos in order to take advantage of the resulting situation more or less on the fly. Again and again he's seized some opportunity that arose because of all the plot he's stirred up and he's become even more enormously wealthy and…
I think it's reasonable to assume that on whatever the name of this planet is, you'd probably get them in a variety of sizes, but since 'magic' had been all but dead for so long and its coming back, expect them to be getting bigger, more dangerous and/or weirder.
I think they could get say with it using the device of the characters who survive telling the story of what happened to Sam. More likely, we'll get a highly charged monologue with cuts to the way Sam is reacting. It's amazing how much and how well they pull off a show that's so many 'people talking in a room' scenes.
@avclub-0840875a9da6f24c4e0fc883b399d93a:disqus , I definitely agree on the casting of Iceland as 'The North'. That terrain would have been more appropriate for the later part of Jon's visit, but even in the big valley where they were digging, it's described as having trees.
And the first time was already show, too. And I can't quite recall, was 'Silence in the Library' River's first appearance, or was it a few episodes before that.
He does love the running.
In re: Defiance. Do you watch "Face Off"? They did a 'Defiance' challenge this season. It looks Syfy to me. Not quite on par with the best of 'Battlestar', sub-'Walking Dead'. Not heinous, but kinda cheap.
Boston AND New York, and maybe even in the same episode.
You tell 'em, @avclub-7833d176ad6f6dde5efc95848e6f47a8:disqus ! USA! USA! USA!
Dr. Who without quirk sounds like a terrible, terrible idea. It would be like Game of Thrones without grit (or boobs, if you prefer).
