What he said. I didn't see a lot of this show but really liked what I did see, so much so I ran a Traveller campaign inspired by it. It gave me an excuse to put a very powerful ship in the hands of some people who really shouldn't have that kind of power. Much mayhem and exploding ensued.

It was the late 70's/early 80's. Give them a break, they thought this was futuristic at the time. And this was a BBC show, so its not like they had an actual costume budget or anything.

I think we're to the point now where college freshmen today have parents who were born after the Beatles broke up. Second generation removal. So unless their parents were raised, like I was, by parents who loved the Beatles, there's every reason to think they'd have not heard of them directly.
