I saw it in the theater when it was released here in the arctic wastes of Minnesota. I never saw it without the narration until I saw the director's cut on DVD. They may have gone the full Bladerunner on it and added the narration after pre-screening, and it could be that's what you saw. I'd very much believe that.

I'm going to admit right here that unlike the rest of you, I have not yet finished watching all of TLA. I did just finish season one, though.

I didn't read that as anguish so much as anger that she'd come SO CLOSE to revealing the truth. You can also see that that's the moment he knows he has to attack her.

Amon HAS to be someone to whom we were introduced already probably someone we met before we ever saw Amon, because why else is he wearing a mask? Think of the mask as a version of Chekhov's Gun - he wouldn't be wearing it if we wouldn't recognize the face behind it instantly.

Argh! Am I the only one who's been thinking Tarrlok IS Amon since, like, the second episode? He is so obviously pulling a Palpatine here that I'm literally amazed it's taken this long for our faithful reviewer to put the pieces together even this much!

Franko has it. When it first ran in my market, it was the middle of the afternoon. Ah, well do I recall those long afternoons 'watching cartoons'.

I think Dark City is vastly improved by the tiny changes made to the Director's Cut. It's basically the Bladerunner problem writ small, with Keifer Sutherlands narration over the opening explaining all the mystery in the movie before it even gets started. When I asw it in the theater, I immediately though "Man, this

Someone up above seems to think its a sinister conspiracy. But he would.

I'll agree with asshole, but is it really paranoia when they really are out to get you?

So, commentariat, I have a question. I think this period is the high point of the Simpsons and I know many of you agree. Is it because of Conan O'Brien, or is he just part of the brilliance?
