Agreed and also, in contrast, the birds and rain sounds in front of Saturn near the beginning. Niiiiiice.

[sad face]

Someone told me I look like her just a few weeks ago and I really don't. Just the height and maybe cheekbones? I think she has such a distinctive face, too. It's strange that people see other resemblances.

Dang! You are making me doubt my choice of tiny neighborhood theatre over a trek to the big screen.

I only saw the girl on the right on the home page. So when this page opened…that will teach me to read these at 1 a.m.

Is that really a spoiler? Isn't it obvious from the preview? Funny, tho.

Harry Shearer was pretty dismissive of them when he was on Wait Wait.

If you moved to Hollywood, maybe you could have actual obscure character actors for room-mates?

Good point. I was def picturing Ocean's Eleven Matt Damon. Who's a good younger counterpart? Neither of the Ryans could get that right blend of humble cockiness.

I thought this one was really interesting, although tangential: Adventures in Bolivia by C.H. Prodgers (1922). He was sent into the wilds to negotiate rubber-gathering contracts with the indigenous tribes. Two things stood out. Nah, I think I am just a sibilant aficionado.

I'm stealing "Mrs. Insistence" for something. Not sure yet what but I like it.

That's a nice story. I read "cabin" and thought you were going somewhere else with it, from all the discussion this weekend. Good luck on the exam!

Sounds like a movie…the bookstore crush is out so you meet another girl at a bar? Then you are gonna have to juggle the bookish one and the sporty one for a few dates and then! turns out they are the same person just sometimes she wears glasses.

Yes. As much as some people complain about the weekend not being over yet, I need this on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

KONGOS came up in my Spotify suggestion list yesterday. Will check out when the sun rises.

Have you tried Bend It Like Beckham? I think it's an inspiring, woman-positive movie with a realistic but not too intense feel for what girls go through. Plus funny family stuff and a great soundtrack.

Cooking sounds good. Hit up a farmer's market, take care of yourself with some tasty, fresh food, or just use up what's in the pantry if that's what's available.

Brothers Bloom probably is mediocre because I hardly remember the plot. I do remember enjoying it when it came out, probably having a lot of goodwill towards the cast (unapologetic Brody fan here).

They are old news but I hadn't heard of Wild Cub until I heard "Thunder Clatter" on the radio yesterday. I really liked it.
