Do we know that the ninth season will be a full 22-24 episodes? There would have to be a lot of filler. I could see them maybe milking three or four episodes out of the wedding weekend before it got old. 

I really liked this episode and I think it made up for a lot of the filler we sat through this season because the writers had to stretch things out for a ninth season. Even Ted's explanation of why he wants to leave immediately after the wedding made me forgive some of the tired "he still loves Robin" pieces from this…

No hatred of Philadelphia is irrational. Lived there for four years, and couldn't wait to get the hell out.
