At this point, Palin herself has done far more damage to her chances of being president than any movie could have.

I think overall this a good analysis, but the last point about us knowing that she was in over her head might not be the case. In 2008, my entire knowledge of Palin was something I knew off hand from a 2007 article about the US's most popular governors. The idea of a no experience local politician from the ass end…
It's really strange to think that there was a time when liberals thought of Lieberman as being a dynamic centrist democrat who was worthy of the vice presidency rather than an opportunistic piece of shit so tied to the old congressional establishment that he'd change his vote and betray his party based on the…
@Fraggins:disqus It always weirds me out when people take a word like "bio-pic" and change the pronunciation of it according to the way it's written on the page. You're speaking aloud, why would you change adertise-ment into advert-isment when that's just a variation of advertise?
Alright, I'll admit that saying I see Amy Poehler as a Baby Boomer is an exaggeration, but she definitely does fall in the area of "too old to be part of my age group's dating population."
Really, it's governed by vengeance if anything: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

I rewatched a couple music videos from them after this post reminded me they existed, and oh man was there a dry spell in commercially successful rock music in between grunge and The Strokes.
Before clicking that, I thought "if this is anything other than the RickRoll, this was a waste of a post."
Agreed. I loved him and his character in Party Down, but seeing him play a worse version of what is more or less the same character on Parks and Rec is kind of a bummer.
If Riot Grrrl still existed in any serious way, I'd really love to see a punk band called Sawdust Pussy that played a cover of "Man Sized" by PJ Harvey.
Yeah, I've had an insanely difficult time getting invested in Ben and Leslie because of that (although the last couple episodes have had me coming around to their relationship a bit more). It was really strange seeing Adam Scott go from being Lizzy Caplan's love interest, who's just young enough for me to identify as…
I better be considering how uninteresting sex with me is.
I can totally relate to being wrapped up in a movie when you're supposed to be wrapped in making out. When I had my first real girlfriend at 16,we were both almost as eager to impress each other with our cool, against the grain tastes as were excited to smooch (it was high school, come on). When she decided to put…
He was the coolest character on the show and the least successful actor of group, so I guess it comes down to how well you can pull off a pair of aviators.
Yeah, the capitalism-saving bail out was an odd policy choice for the Leninist Muslim I thought I was voting for.
No movie will ever be as good as that fucking election was. That was 8 months of escalating insanity that ended up with the right person winning. Watching that campaign season unfold and get progressively more dramatic and funny was the best TV around.
She's in the entry for "someday."
I doubt it was the blood or subtitles but just how deliberately paced that movie was. It's a great movie, but it's so slow paced that I couldn't imagine it doing much of anything besides sucking the energy completely out of a date.
But it's a movie about apartheid and ghettoization…
