If that's supposed to be a little kid voice saying "rocket," I find that deeply disturbing.

Last week's entry was actually so bad it was confusing, like the AV Club was playing a joke on all of us.  I actually liked this Inventory though.  Different strokes, I guess.

Yeah, I feel the same way.  When I got into anthropology during college, I committed to it to the extent that I just gave up reading literature entirely, and now whenever I hear someone summarize something like Infinite Jest, I'm hit with equal parts excitement that something like that exists and heartbreak that I'll

Can anyone really "own" a horse?

Fuck: you, Dad!

Ok, so let's say there's a ball of weed the size of the sun…

How about 28 Weeks Later?  The property in this case is actually children, but I think it fits.  The kids have a gene that protects them from being infected, which is of tremendous value to a number of parties.  The movie is basically (spoiler alert) the two kids with the immunity being handed off from one group of

I wonder why they didn't play any of that record's deep cuts.

I made it through about 15 seconds of the second song before I skipped it.  I'm not sure if my tastes are just SO UNIQUE that I don't have anything in common with my generation's music, or if we're simply in a period when all the wrong people are getting attention.

I usually like going after indie sacred cows, but I really think there's something special about Wye Oak.  Bon Iver, on the other hand, is boring as hell.

Yeah, you could totally sense the tension in the audience throughout that bit.  The Lana Del Ray sketch was basically Wiig scolding us all for having fun at the expense of a performer who is in all ways manufactured and inauthentic.  I can't imagine why it didn't go over.

Is going from a syndicated weekly comedy to SNL a step backwards, though?  It seems to me that SNL is what you do as an aspiring stand up comic to get your name out there so that you can end up doing something like Community, not the other way around.

Good god, has it seriously been EIGHT years? That's not just too long for virtue that he hasn't been funny in god knows how long, but it almost seems like he's abusing the system by taking up a spot on a heavily exposed show that a younger comic would benefit from.  SNL is great for virtue that a bunch of young comics

I haven't drank anything this weekend, and it registered as a D for me.  Sobriety is apparently the arch nemesis of SNL.

His Matthew McConaughey was pretty spot on, but I have no idea why that sketch is still kicking around.  I don't know how much mileage the writers think they can get out of Cee Lo Green, but it's certainly less than they have already.

Yeah, as soon as he said during the monologue that he had been a stripper, I knew this was going to be a long, nippley night of sketch comedy.

"Man With Chest Hosts SNL"

Who was this song even constructed to appeal to?  I don't understand how any of these elements fit together into anything that would appeal to anyone.

Cold Canuck.

In all seriousness, I'm kind of interested to see how the courts handle the small lies you tell your significant other over the course of a relationship.  EVERYBODY says that kind of thing to their boy or girlfriend to build up their sense of worth, but that certainly doesn't make it true in the way that a contract is
