I guess it's a lucky thing for us then that good business decisions = the morally right thing to do

I want to see less reality TV, but not like this

By pure coincidence, I read Stephanie Tanner's wiki yesterday and apparently she went crazy after her star fell and did a shitload of drugs.  This is probably old news to most of the people here, but it's pretty surprising to see Full House stars fall this far.  Next thing you know, the Olsen twins will turn out to be

*Republicans pull funding from public school system
*Education system fails to produce critical thinkers
*They become republicans

Based on this article, I'm pretty sure that's what we're trying to melt Muslims into.  If only they hadn't been normalized by the media, we coulda done it too!

In penance for doing a firstie, you must now buy the lousy thing Louis CK is selling.

He was absolutely the best part of that movie.  I like that movie too, but there was definitely a point in it where the non stop broadcasting of low key, teenage, shoulder shrugging hipness of the two leads got to be a little too much for me.  I guess because it's a movie about the 90s and all (http://www.youtube.com/w

Yeah, I never thought of that.  Could have been that the publisher realized the subtext of the book and saw dollar signs with the gay community.

But he gets results, dammit.

Yeah, that could be.  Although I do think Von Trier has a pretty deep running current of hatred for "men of science" who claim to be dispassioned authorities on meaningfully embedded parts of life.  Keifer Sutherland as the astronomer in Melancholia plays a more or less identical part, and every bit as loathsomely.

Dr. Wick from Girl, Interrupted

You know, do we ever really get a good sense as to whether or not Tobias was a good therapist?  Doesn't he say he did a post doc in psycholinguistics at MIT, but leaves it because he wants to be an actor instead?  I sort of remember the punchline to a lot of season one jokes to be about how he was actually full of

Not to mention his physician.  Louis has terrible luck with health professionals.

For that matter, why not Ian Duncan?  As far as we know, he's contributed nothing but the Duncan Principle to psychology, and even that didn't operate on Abed.

The Man from Lars Von Trier's Antichrist.   His sessions start with condescending psychotherapy, and end with him suffocating Charlotte Gainsbourg. Not exactly a breakthrough.

I just watched Pharoh on Letterman, and his Obama impression seriously blows Armisen's away.  I would guess they don't want to change which actor is playing Obama until after Armisen leaves because doing otherwise is kind of a tacit admission that Armisen's wasn't a terribly good impression in the first place.

This is only just dawning on me, but has there ever been an East Asian cast member on SNL? or for that matter, a South Asian, South East Asian, or Middle Eastern member?

That was fantastic.  I miss the Will Forte years.
