The second I saw the bull I was terrified we were heading into book territory. For anyone who thinks that Dexter got really bad last season, the books are still 10 times worse. I was very relieved when I saw the maze as I think it means it was just a Theseus and the Minotaur in the Labyrinth reference.

He was actually dressed as a Minotaur. Everything about the mausoleum and his maze was very Theseus and the Labyrinth.

Overall this was a pretty funny episode. There was a lot of out of character stuff going on and the emotional moments were unearned…
