I think the perfect timeline for the show is Seasons 1-2 followed by Season 4 ending with Trinity killing Rita and Deb catching Dexter killing Trinity. That way everything has meaning and you even have the added bonus that Dexter's killing of Trinity seems way more justified which would explain Deb's hesitance to call

Weeds went out with a pretty shitty finale though. The penultimate episode was the best in at least 2 years though so I guess you could say Weeds was a push.

Dexter's been actively obstructing justice in order to get a kill himself for a few years now though, If I thought the writers had actually noticed how unjustifiable some of his kills have been lately I would assume it was part of the end game and Dexter's ultimate punishment/redemption.

It seemed to me a way of the writers saying, "Here's a stupid storyline we brought in last season and now it's gone."

To me it felt like every character was just stating their inner monologue. Not sure if it was just the weird ADR but Mindy especially seemed to just say every thought that came to her head. Maybe that's her character but everyone else was doing it too.
