Artists you buy no matter the writer? I would say Mike Allred, Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm get my money no matter what the project is. Ladronn and Tom Scioli get me to Byrne-steal, at least.

Oh I also got Lumberjanes Book 1 from the library! All the best comics are in the YA section these days.
It's worth doing a reread. I am seeing all kinds of connections from JLA to All-Star Superman, for example, and a lot of the foreshadowing and stuff is much clearer the second time.
Look at Klaus Janson inking Frank Miller and JRjr…he has an unmistakable influence.
It's definitely Allred's Silver Surfer. Pretty much anything he draws I would refer to as the author, like "Allred's Sandman issue" or "the Mike Allred Brother Power special". His style is so distinctive and unique he owns it.
JLA gets even better as it goes. Stick with it.
How is Prez? I love the originals.
Agreed. Dumb fucking wings.
I am still working my way through my summer Grant Morrison JLA —> Seven Soldiers —> Batman —> Final Crisis reread. Also read Astro City #22 and #23, Afterlife With Archie #8, and an Archie digest I bought at the Target checkout.
I used to be a story/ writer guy but now that comics are so fucking expensive it's gotta look good to get my four bucks.
I watched the first couple of seasons when they were re-run on "The Hub" a few years ago. It was fine. As a young Wizard Magazine reader (durrrr) I found it horribly embarrassing and lame but it holds up OK. Like the article says, sometimes too campy, but it's inoffensive and the actors look good.
Byrne.
Guys i think if we work together we could come up with a really solid pitch for New 52 Dolphin.
That game was the worst. I owned some shitty gamecube games.
Ugh, Christina is the worst.
Hey, fuck you
A professor showed us this in college. I was prepared to hate it but it was really good.
I liked the Aquaman Sword of Atlantis book okay, but i kept waiting for a payoff that didn't deliver. That One Year Later thing was a real bust all around. The only good thing to come out of it was robins new costume.
My gateway comic was Norm Breyfogles Batman and Detective Comics. I don't know if they play as well in 2015 as they did in 1989 but there is a big hardcover collection coming out soon.
I love Staples art, I love Waids superhero books, and I love goofy old Archie comics. This is a must-buy for me.
