Love Behind the Mask. Well, love it until it turns into a "real" slasher movie halfway through. But yeah, all the Reality Show stuff is a hoot and a half.

It makes a good starting point because the characters reference like twenty other genre movies by name. That and the way they spell out the "rules" that fans had always known but probably never tried to list.

Oh yeah, they promoted Drew as the heroine of the movie. She took up half the goddamn poster.

You're being overly harsh on H20, I think. H20 brought back Laurie Strode, ignored all the Druid-y stuff from the other sequels, and ended with (SPOILER) Laurie cutting Michael Myers' fucking head off. I don't know what more you'd want from the seventh movie in a slasher series.
