Ellie and Erin are awesome!
I think Erin is perfect on the Office, it's a kind of wacky show and Andy Bernard needed an appropriate partner.

Digital Short- Sergio part 2?
I felt like the Digital Short tonight was just Sergio again but with Andy Samberg as the recurring character. Obviously it's a slightly different story but it just seemed like the same old same old.
I'm not sure I will ever be on Team Slate-I just don't think she's funny. The only time she's made me laugh was during those doorbell/carhorn sketches and I feel like anyone could do those. I'm also pissed that they still do the Today Show sketches replacing Mikaela Watkins (who was infinitely better) with her.
the "Wake Up and Smile" sketch from when David Alan Grier hosted is probably one of my favorite sketches of all time.
@MikePfunn you made me miss Norm Macdonald! I just love his delivery.
re: UK Office and US Office pilots
I may be remembering this incorrectly, but I think the US pilot was the UK pilot just with the names changed. Its funny that you liked the UK but thought the US one would bomb (although based on almost the entire first season of the US Office I would think it would bomb…just too…
favorite quote
I'm not going to get it exactly right (I watched it live) but when Mitchell brought in the newspaper to fight off the intruder and Cam says, "oh I sure hope a spider doesn't break in b/c he'd be in TROUBLE…."
I agree, it was so unfair for Jessica Wild to go home! English is her second language and it was basically a writing/speaking in English challenge!!?! Yes, she was over the top, but I loved her.
right? that sketch would've been mildly funny had it played two years ago w the movie.
for completely selfish reasons…
I hope he comes to Memphis. or anywhere near Memphis. It would make my life.
I love you RichardD.
did anyone else
think it was too soon for the comment in the telemundo sketch about how winter sports seem like they're trying to kill themselves? It seemed like the audience cringed a little bit and I did too.
or even better: "They've taken my closet organizer hostage!"
definitely worst Willie Nelson (and a pretty terrible adam lambert and lady gaga as well)
but
that was not Nasim Pedrad, it was Jenny Slate doing the only sketch I've ever seen her be funny in, for the second time. First time they did it, it was doorbells.
the whole point of the commercial was to get people to go to the website.
Yes PLEASE!!! Zulkey for the win! RuPaul's drag race combines all the best parts of what Project Runway used to be PLUS completely sends up ANTM at the same time. Also, RuPaul is gorgeous. (although this season they all seem to be a little too pretty, no one stands out like Nina Flowers!)
was it just me
or did anyone else think Emilio's dress looked a little like a purple version of Suede's gold and red number from seasons past? with a less full skirt/tutu.
MacGruber PC edit?
I may be paranoid, but in the first MacGruber sketch when he's telling the joke, it sounds like they edited out something and replaced it with "a jew." anyone else notice this? Thoughts on what they edited out?
you're not alone, but it was much funnier in the original incarnation when he was just doing football. "That'll move the chains" was a callback b/c that's all he said. He had ADD which ended up being Automatic Death Disease and before he died he said, "He could move all the CHAINS!" (which I still say whenever I'm…
I still love Kristen Wiig- I don't think it's her fault she sucks lately, I think they're just throwing her talent at terrible sketches and all she can do is go insanely over the top to try and salvage it. Don't give up hope on her yet!! (feel free to give up on Seth Myers as head writer though!)
