Interesting. Thanks Jordo.  Perhaps you need to see it again without expectations.  The best movies (for me at least) don't always make that inital connection.

The FINAL Tony dies Foreshadow thread.  With FYI that this is just an OPINION so please don't slit my throat:

It doesn't bother me because I thought Todd stepped up his game significantly for the final season. And I also think he deep down believes Tony died.  He tweeted a while back that if he had a gun to his head he would say Tony died.  I think he's just trying to please all of his readers at once (and perhaps Alan

Awesome.  On a related note I have eaten at Manhattan's famous (and very old) "John's" restaurant in the lower east side/east village where Tony did his curb stomp on Coco.

The only way it could be clearer is if Tony had the Bacala "never hear it" flashback at Holsten's.  Actually, no, it could be only be clearer if we actually saw MOG shoot Tony in the right side of his head.

I know a lot of people (including myself) have made the point that Tony and Carm got AJ back into their corrupting arms with the Little Carmine job.  However, I do think they did what a lot of parents would do.  They wanted to do anything they could to keep their son away from the army at a time when the war in Iraq

But this simply isn't true from a close reading of the scene.  Tony is HAPPY in the scene.  He smiles at AJ and seems strangely at peace.  We are projecting our feelings on to Tony because we know this is the last scene ever.  But for Tony, he is simply waiting for some onion rings.   He looks up at the door because

I actually agree with you here, to an extent.  "Did Tony live or die?" as a simple plot point really isn't meaningfull or important.  It is the meaning behind what Chase was doing is what's most important.  He was expressing the fragility of life and how it can be taken suddenly from you without notice.  In a lot of

For anyone who is interested. These two quotes/discussions are the closest Chase has ever come to explaining the ending.  He actually cites two prior scenes in the series:
