A couple of other random points, as I could go on about one of my all time favorite movies.

So many epic scenes.  Arthur kneeling in the moat, giving Excalibur to his enemy to knight him.

It's unfortunate that the Carmina Burana is so often spoofed that one can forget how effectively and epically it was used in Excalibur.
