I discovered Kimbra after the Gotye hit, and I love her. I haven't bought her album yet, but I've bought some singles. I keep "Cameo Lover", "Good Intent", and "Settle Down" on repeat constantly.

In my opinion, Nolan's are decent, but it's not the total wankfest that everyone makes it out to be. I just don't find it mind-blowingly awesome as I guess I should (according to everyone else).

Fuck me for having opinions different than most of the AV Club. Shame on me!

Another thing I forgot to add: I think Burton's world is much more interesting that the falsity based Nolan version. Burton's were bright and vivid and exciting. I just don't favor the grey world in Nolan's movies. I did think they were decent films (although) they do heavily rely on ledger's performance.

@avclub-920530cb8744c679e3a2ece84f1d5ce4:disqus I didn't get a chance to see Dark Knight in theaters, so I decided to finally sit down one day and watch it. I seriously almost cut off the movie when he spoke as Batman. It grated my ears.

I do love her voice, and I thought it was really sweet that she actually at getting a VMA for some "Inspiration" bullshit. However, she reminds me of that quirky type that is so popular now (Zooey Deschanel).

Hey, we're also getting Daria out of it, which is awesome.

I think I'm the only person that actually preferred and loved Burton's movies. I loved the campy-ness of them. Nolan's are too dark and (I hate to use this) gritty. Bale as Batman bugs me too—especially his voice.
