Completely disagree. She's one of the few representatives of the lower classes of Westeros, the people who are trampled under the boots of nobles like Joffrey, Stannis and (yes) Robb. She may not be as developed as the other characters, but her suffering is consistent with the world she inhabits and her role in it,

What reason could you possibly have to hate that poor woman? Joffrey, is that you?

You're dumb.

You're dumb.

What's worse is that she makes no effort to understand the fact that telling her father and the other mobsters about Vito would put his life in danger.

I've hated Daenerys ever since the people from that village were raped and murdered because of her in the first season, and she's gotten more entitled and whiny ever since…

Way to go, Community. You're on the brink of cancellation and you throw in what has to be the most pretentious and unfunniest episode ever.

In the first book, the only one I've read, I found Daenerys journey from victim to conqueror the most interesting arc among the point of view characters. Maybe because we are no longer locked to her perspective, maybe because the series moves quicker, maybe because of Emilia Clarke's irritating wide-eyed acting style,

@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus The episode right AFTER Viserys died, Daenerys is seem living happilly among the Dothraki with Drogo. While she's giving him a massage, she tries to convince him to take the Iron Throne for him. He says he's not interested in leaving his land. After the assassination

Ok, let's pause for a moment and realize how fucked up and unsympathetic is a character who is raped, falls in love with her rapist, and then gets excited when she hears that he's going to rape more people for her.

You know, I can't accept that excuse when Drogo himself SHOUTED AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS that he was going to pillage, rape and kill everyone between him and the Iron Throne, while Daenerys looked at him with an excitement that bordered on the sexual. And she STILL expected the witch to help her, even after being

Viserys fault? Well, I seem to remember Khal Drogo was more than happy to stay on his continent after Viserys death. It was Daenerys who asked him to give her the Iron Throne. So, the dothraki started pillaging villages and raping women to prepare themselves for the voyage.

Wait, so you hate the redheaded witch because she killed one old dude who wanted to kill her, yet you like Daenerys, who was responsible for the pillaging, murder and rape of hundreds of people, and many more to come?

God, thank you so much for that link. I haven't seen that scene in years. The original was so much more stylish and atmospheric, it's a shame the theatrical version isn't available anymore.
