Hmm…
I'm definitely happy for him for succeeding because I loved his first two discs, but man I hated Lasers (as did, apparently, Lupe Fiasco). Pretty much the only song on there that feels true to his style is All Black Everything, and maybe Words I Never Said to some extent even though I'm not crazy about that song

Agreed, that picture pretty much screams "clusterfuck" in the best way possible.

Sort of off-topic, but man it's always nice to see people talking about the Wire on here. I can't get one single goddamn person I know to watch it, so I've pretty much never been able to discuss it with a real live person.

It took me a while to warm up to Marlo, but in the fifth season especially I thought Jamie Hector really showed how good he was in that role. That scene in the jail with his lieutenants when he finally loses his cool about Omar talking shit is one of my three of four favorite scenes the show ever did.

True, Snoop was more or less playing exactly herself (albeit with more murder probably). Still, it's a shame she doesn't seem to have been able to turn that opportunity into some kind of better life. Seemed to be a nice redemption story for a while there.

I would watch that way more than I would watch whatever the hell the thing they're doing now is.

What can I say, I am, as Nabin used to be so fond of saying, cautiously optimistic of most things

Pretty much…
Seems like the most interesting pilot we've heard about for next year. Already an intriguing premise from a promising writer, and Jason Isaacs is a solid actor (as is every adult actor associated with Harry Potter really). Definitely seems like it'll worth checking out at least a couple times

Once Upon a Time in the West
Dear god, that is a great movie. I've always thought it was leaps and bounds better then any of the Clint Eastwood/Leone trilogy (not saying those aren't great also though), and Henry Fonda is one of the best parts of it.

Yeah I usually don't care much for Billy Corgan (I don't even really like the stuff Smashing Pumpkins did from back when everybody loved them), but I'm digging that theme song.

^Ignore that. Season 2 is probably the least of the 5, but the least season of the greatest series of all time is still well worth watching.

I threw up in my mouth a little when I read "a fight scene set to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'"

I sort of agree, although I have an easier time getting over it when if he's using his native accent if the role.

I've often wondered the writers' real viewpoint on Bill in a similar way. He's just SO unlikable, but it's hard to tell if that's a writing choice or a consequence of Bill Paxton's performance or what.

Steve Buscemi
Looked like he was about to piss his pants when Gervais just said the words "Boardwalk Empire"

Yeah Cyberwoman is the low point of the entire series. Captain Jack Harkness (episode 12) is the first ep that's really great though I'd say, and then season 2 is markedly better overall.

I thought Miracle Day sounded really stupid when I first saw it too (I think it was EW compared it to The Phantom Menace), but once I read the premise as well, I kinda dig it. Miracle Day sounds reasonably enough like a phrase that would be used in those circumstances.

Torchwood…
Is officially gonna make me tune into Starz for original programming for the time ever! Congrats Starz!

I thought the same thing at first, but really its not even listenable in a trainwreck sort of way.

Yeah, he's not the greatest actor in the world or anything but I always like Ethan Hawke. As far as I'm concernced he gets a lifetime pass for the Sunrise/Sunset movies alone
