Yes, I really liked Modern Family when it started, and now it's the show I'm least excited about on Wednesdays on ABC. I'm loving Cougar Town, Happy Endings and even Suburgatory much more.  It has hit a wall of sameness that the writers can't seem to get over.  Claire is shrill. Mitchell is a douchebag to Cameron.

I can't believe that nobody has commented on the fact that the lead character's name is Riggins.  That's a pretty ballsy move.

His hotness was distracting, if that's what you mean.

Except Manny. Manny is the Carl Grimes of Modern Family.

Too bad this won't help explain the implausibility of Michael Bay's career.

Not only that but he killed Shane while SHANE WAS POINTING A GUN AT HIM, TELLING HIM HE WAS GOING TO KILL HIM AND STEAL HIS FAMILY.  God, he should have just said 'you don't have to kill me brah, you can have 'em. They both suck donkey balls, and one of them is pregnant with a zombie-virus baby. Have fun.'

I don't know what I was doing, but I have ZERO recollection of finding out that Lee is using Faye to fix his broken girlfriend - what happened?

I'm pretty sure that Dane Cook bumped Bobby Lee, not Miller.  Miller took exception to his material, the fact that Lee got bumped, and the way Cook was tearing into audience members for no reason.  Assuming you're talking about The Cook Thing at all.

I just started listening to it recently, but it's awesome.  TJ Miller, Kroll and Kumail Nanjiani were fantastic, and I'm in the middle of the Perretti episode right now, and they are hilarious together.  I wasn't all that familiar with him before, but he's very funny and I really like the premise of the show.   Saw

Totally agree with you!!  On all counts!!  The Connie Britton interview was fantastic, even with the dearth of FNL discussion.  She was very funny, and her rapport with Hardwick was great.  I loved her admonishing him to "watch your mouth, fucker!!".

I'll take a whole panel of Pete Holmes' on DLM over one L'il Wolverine or Graham Ellwood any day of the week.  For me, Holmes falls more into the 'funny enough to get away with it' camp when it comes to attention-hogging than the 'i hate you and never want to hear your voice again' camp.  He's not as funny (to me) as

To me, the guy who played the reaper will forever be the depressed, dickish hipster dude that Felicity dated briefly - I think his name was David.  He was the son of her professor, and I wanted to punch him in the mouth whenever he was onscreen.

I have been crushing on him hard since I first heard him on Comedy Bang Bang nee Death Ray.  Just fyi, there's a great picture of him in Sarah Silverman's memoir.  But it's not of his face.

You and I are very similar in that respect.

You can see that clip on youtube and Maron looks like he's hopelessly in love with Sedaris throughout - but who can blame him?  I couldn't stop laughing at 'Who's going to answer the phone???'.  As Klausner said, I'd watch the shit out of that show.

[Fair warning - Cranston's comment is below so don't read this if you haven't seen the finale]

I caught the first half of today's ep this morning on my way to work (Silverman and Kroll!) and he spent a few minutes talking about what a total mess last week was - he called it unlistenable and even said he might pull it from iTunes.  I like the show, have zero problem with him being high, but that was terrible.  I

Is there going to be an interview with Aaron Paul soon?  And Odenkirk? I feel like those are needed in order to make the AV Club Breaking Bad coverage as of late perfect rather than merely insanely great.

@avclub-effffa8deef3c927fefc014850129bb6:disqus That was what killed me too - how insanely long it took Walt to figure out that HT was extorting money from him. Just when you think he finally gets it, he goes on a rant about the unprofessional idiots who would charge that much to fix the door.

Will, you are blowing my mind because first of all, I was not aware of this Designing Women spinoff - I thought it all ended with the Jan Hooks/Julia Duffy year.  Second of all, THAT PICTURE!!!  Probably good that you just let that whole thing lie - I'm sure it wasn't a high point in his career.
