Well Tanabe is part of Nintendo in Japan, not Retro. I'm hoping Retro is working on something original now that we know it's not Metroid.

Super Smash Bros and the anime have done more for Falcon's personality than anything of the F-Zero games.

If we started for Wii U now, it would likely take three years or so. So it would likely now be on Nintendo's NX console.

Truth be told, making HD games takes a lot of time and resources. I haven't been able to collect a team or the resources to do it.

That's why I think they should take F-Zero in another direction. I really just want a Platinum games developed open world game with Captain Falcon where you can drive the Blue Falcon around Mute City and do races as a side thing.

I feel like they're trying to add F-Zero elements to Mario Kart, but it's not the same.
