You may be right about Davalos. I honestly don't know.

It says way more about the difference between where Angel was in his unlife then and where he is now. It goes beyond who he's fucking.
I chuckled as well. Ha.
A complaint and praise
Noel - Yep. Everyone gets a little tired of Connor around now, even those of us who like the character (and Kartheiser's heroic efforts to make his scenes work) overall. And no one can stand the Angel/Cordelia non-romance anymore. And most can look past those things as minor hiccups in a…
Just a tidbit from the Internets
I saw this posted as part of a series of "Lines You'll Never Hear On Buffy." I believe that they started on TWOP, but not totally sure.
At least we've got options
I like both of these episodes pretty well, without especially loving them. Just in case anyone cares about my opinion. I wish I loved "Habeas Corpses" more, actually, because of the wonderfully groany title, the zombies, and the ballsyness of the writers in having the Beast take out W&H…
Too true
Yeah, _Buffy_ seems less suited than _Angel_ to do the large cast epic mega-arc thing. Try to get used to it. Agreed with most of the criticisms in another pair of episodes with a few great moments and a lot that I can barely remember.
I disagree. Besides, what's the point of the whole Angel character if "Angelus" isn't a key part of him?
The mega-arc
Kind of in the same place. I like serialized TV, but _Buffy_ from here on has this thing where it's moving a plot forward and being reasonably entertaining, but somewhere along the line I realize that I'm not deeply into the plot that's being moved. (Contrast with this year of _Angel_, also a mega-arc,…
The way I see it… Basically, early episodes had characters say flat-out that the vampire was an empty husk with no connection to the original person. Which would be so… boring. Then, starting with Angel (who accepts "Angelus" as an extension of himself rather than a separate entity) and continuing on, the show…
Much appreciated.

Time
Of course you cover these particular episodes on a day when I'm on call at work until late, and then take a break until I have Friday call again… grumble…
One thing
It's always annoyed me to see stuff from "Selfless" so quickly undone. Anya back as a member of the group is kinda part of that. Maybe more annoying is D'Hoffryn ("never go for the kill when you can go for the pain") sending demons to kill Anya, just because it makes so little sense - and then that plot…
No-win situations
Amnesia plots kinda suck, but I do appreciate the structure of "Slouching," the way circumstances pretty much force Cordelia's friends to be creepy and deceptive, and for her to turn to Connor as the most trustworthy of the crew. Really like the next episode, though - it's some tight writing, and…

Near perfection
Sharing the love for "Selfless," which last time I checked was my second favorite episode of the entire series (behind "Innocence"). Stuff like the use of continuity in the Buffy/Xander/Willow debate make me so thrilled to be a fan of the show.
A title
Dark Wesley? Indeed awesome (and pathetic in an awesome way), and it's always a thrill to see a new viewer follow him from BTVS S3 to here (and of course, his journey isn't over yet). Also, he and Lilah have a few different sex scenes, but the one in this episode is the hottest.
Had a nice summer
In all logic, "Deep Down" ought to be amazing based on what happens in it, but I like it rather than love it. Maybe it's the exposition factor you mention, or the way the ending kinda peters out despite a widely-quoted speech, or… anyway, I feel like an episode that has so many great individual…
