Briefly…
I like "Quickening" for the same reasons as in the review, even though it has very little resonance in my head as an individual episode. Even after reading the review, I can't remember many particular events that happen in the episode, other than those killer last few minutes. But if we need a content-light

Back when first watching, I always considered her bi simply because, well, she has fulfilling relationships with both male and female characters, and is even involved in a mixed-sex love triangle in "New Moon Rising."

PJ and john_barleycorn: Fine, do I have to cite evidence? The original slogan of Angel Investigations was definitely "we help the hopeless." Angel and Cordelia both use it when answering the phone in early episodes, and Angel's answering machine message uses the phrase as well. Specific S1 shows to refer to

Noxon was both a writer and producer for _Mad Men_ during S2-3, but appears to have departed since then. I don't think she really had a whole lot to do with _Angel_ per se once it got off the ground, though she's credited as a "Consulting Producer" at least through S4.

+1 to Idiot Jed's post.

And trivia
Trying to get some trivias in:
- The demon who summons Holtz goes unnamed for awhile, for no real reason, but is called Sahjahn. He's a personal favorite character of mine.

A little intimidated by the volume here
So much has already been said about OMWF and so much is being said that I don't have much to add. It'd get drowned out anyway. Good job hitting most of the core elements, Noel; that's a pretty complete review considering that one writer can't touch every last detail. And

Halloween week
Just in time for Thanksgiving. We've got an outright Halloween themed episode, and an episode about a guy wandering through a hotel with an axe.

Hey, it's a little fun
Sharing the love for both of these. "Fredless" is indeed the first time Fred really clicked for me either, and Amy Acker is indeed a fine actor - one of the best in the Whedon ouvre - who does great things with lines and scenes that could easily be insufferable in lesser hands.

Okay, I said I wouldn't get embroiled in this discussion, but two points:

.
Interesting that you appreciated TOGOM so much both in intention and execution, since so many people aren't fans of the latter. I was going to mention that _Angel_ this year often leads up to some of my favorite episodes with a string of lackluster ones, but maybe you'll like those and dislike the big stuff?

Enjoy the marzipan
I'm a S6 fan who doesn't need to be a "defender" because it rocks (for the most part) regardless of whether or not anyone has an explanation typed at them in an online disagreement. Enjoy, Noel.

No subject
Taking time from my 13-hours-a-day-plus-studying surgery clerkship to respond to this… the sacrifices we make for the shows we love.

Quite a way to go out
Pleasure as always, Noel. I feel bad that I haven't had time to contribute more to discussion rather than these self-contained posts that don't really address the reviews, but hey, time.

On a spoilery note
[SPOILER]

[sigh] Times are tough
One of the lesser weeks of the show for me. I like "Tough Love" better than Noel, despite the accurate criticism of it as a mechanical episode. Especially Willow's attack on Glory - a nice fight scene, and a bit of a shock to realize how far the character has come, for better and for worse.

Winding down a bit
I'm not wowed by these intermission episodes on _Buffy_ (S5 sure is relentlessly bleak, even with the "fun" weeks), but a few scenes really get to me in "Forever." Angel's cameo is great, but the moment that resonates most is the friends sitting around the table working out the exact wording of the

Bill - Um… Yeah, I knew that. I was just… uh… testing you.

I jsut got back from my honeymoon
So I don't care if some fake lady died.

No time
No time at all for this (appropriate given the plot of one of this week's episodes), but glad to see the love continuing. I've mentioned that I'm not a massive fan of S5, but these are among the best episodes of the year, "Crush" especially. And they happen right when _Angel_ is producing stuff like "The
