i think Arsebestos was the only original piece in the book and it's short - not that i'm trying to actively steer people away from supporting stephenson or his publisher but you can find the whole thing by searching Google books if you're curious.

dude if you're referring to Neil Young's "Trans" then you're talking about a seriously cool album - but it kinda sounds like you think that would be a bad thing. maybe from a purely commercial perspective, but funding an artist isn't a commercial transaction. if you want dependability, hire a carpenter.

i don't know how long ago your interview was; if it was fairly recent, then $27K isn't very much money. maybe it's an outrageous stereotype on my part but i guess i'm also assuming The Jewish Voice is a new york/east coast outfit, someplace where $27K doesn't go very far.

at $3+ per flimsy pamphlet, i'm not surprised DC execs or anyone else don't think they can make money off younger audiences - maybe if those books took more than 15 minutes to read or offered more than 28 or so pages of content, but even then i think there are probably other things for kids to spend their money on…

shit, iron maiden could have made about fourteen badass albums just riffing on the titles of doc savage books. "The Czar of Fear" or "The Devil Ghengis" sound like you something you'd stumble across in some 80's record store or see drawn in Bic pen on the back of some stoner's jean jacket.

Holy Diver was wall-to-wall awesome, so i don't know what you're talking about.

i would totally vote for EX MACHINA. i've heard his new one is supposed to be pretty good, too, but i haven't checked it out yet.

i'm still a huge rags fan from his work on Forgotten Realms and Black Condor. i'm glad he's done well for himself.
