I watched The blob segment last week and couldn't get past how boring and lame it was. Seriously I don't care how dumb Homer is, anybody knows not to eat something that came from a meteor him just eating it was lazy writing. The Treehouse of horrors never failed me until that one.

I must say AV club is too generous this episode was crap. Fart jokes, sacrilegious, Lazy writing? come on i thought they stopped trying to be Family Guy after the 17th season. If this is whats in store for the next seasons put it out to pasture.

I agree with you so much as I watched that entire scene I realized the downfall of FG. For the writers to go in and contrive an excuse as to why it's ok for Meg to be the butt monkey, is just a lazy way of saying things aren't going to change so here's some more gay baby jokes, religious bashing, and liberal agendas.
