For complicated work reasons, spent a lot of the weekend going through novels looking for mentions of real specific London streets. In the process, I "accidentally" re-read most most of The Long Firm, and am probably going to end up just going through the whole series.

It's based on stories he told to his children, and was originally published by the kids arm of Penguin Books… I think he included the serious themes because he either wanted there to be stuff in there for anyone mature enough to find it, or he felt kids should learn that stuff as early as possible, or something. Great…
