I don't think it would ruin his development, which I agree was a highpoint.  It's logical that he would come to reject bending superiority so strongly that he would come to the conclusion that bending itself was evil.

Shouldn't Korra's flashbacks all be from Aang's point of view?  Yes, this is nitpicky, but it also would have made for some amazing animation.

Agreed. (Again, jeeez).  They have mechs, but not guns.  Obviously technology doesn't have to evolve in the same way everywhere, but come on.

I loved how once it had absolutely no effect on Aang what he was in the Avatar state.  It's a great reminder of insanely powerful it is.  Also, it was amazing seeing Aang fight.  His giant airball thing and airslice - the whole thing was just a rush.
