SPOILER

This is just great analysis.

Good.  I am honestly so excited to be back in this world that I can barely contain myself.  I don't know how I'll handle the week-long breaks between episodes.  And the season breaks - oh god!  I wish I could go into hibernation and wake up when there are already six season and a movie, then watch them all.

It was really excellent.  The animation, music, and action are is nothing short of spectacular. I also like that there is a lot about Korra personal journey that's being foreshadowed.  The idea of the Avatar needing all four elements so that he/she can be a force for balance in the world (not just a force) isn't

That reference immesurably increased my enjoyment of the episode. I made the emotional connection immediately, and it continued to dog me throughout the episode.  I doubt that was intended — though you never know.

She'd be a great WTF interview.  I bet Maron could get some gems out of her, even if he ended up falling in love with her like he does every other female guest.

There's quite a bit of humanizing the Fire Nation army throughout the series.  The first two scenes that come to mind are Iroh's song session on the ship and the one soldier's birthday party at the very end.  On the one hand, both scenes are a bit silly and can be played for laughs.  On the other, it's pretty amazing

Interesting thought.  I wonder how the Avatar would settle the whole Middle East situation.

SPOILERS

I think in the series, his redemption only happened far into the future, when the earth was a barren wasteland.  It was the episode where Toyman seems to kill Superman, but he in fact only sends him in the distant future.

I loved that.  Avatar is really good at showing a wide spectrum of villany from misguided to angry to evil to batshit insane.  It's mature enough to acknowledge that not every villain is a bad person at heart, but is realistic enough to admit that you can't just give every bad guy a hug and expect it to be ok.

No dice, Childs.  Dis ain't ovah.

This review of Avatar makes no sense at all.

Correction: he's a serious candidate to be the Republican nominee.

The Birthday Cake (Remix) is a lie.

I think you're referring to Sparky Sparky Boom Man.

I love that she seems to understand how unreasonable it is for her to blame her father, and yet she airs her emotions anyway.

Oh snap.  I should probably stop hanging out with Kim then.
