The Killers are one of my favorite bands and an amazing live band. I could really care less about his religious beliefs, because I honestly don't feel like they are pervasive enough in his music that it becomes any less relatable or artistically valid.

The Glass Bead Game ftw. Mo'fuckas better recognize the Hesse!

What about my user name? Are we in agreement that it's AWESOME?

I am on Todd's side here that there is a good show underneath the horseshit sitcom humor, but I was slightly less optimistic about this particular episode. For the first half there was more groans then giggles. Here are some that I pulled out:

Thank you also Kolchak! I agree very much about the pedestal. I would rather call it "the standard," what all dramatic T.V series will be judged against. I think there are certain "weaknesses" that could be exposed and that future shows could build upon, and it is at least clear by this discussion that Breaking Bad is

I appreciate your compliments @avclub-32a2e71c97df5281f1324db72c73a59a:disqus . I would kinda love to write for this site, does it show? Anyway, I see your point. Although I think the first season certainly is a masterpiece in its own right, by the third season we get to the height of the show's ambition (though the

I started watching Breaking Bad with the prejudice it couldn't be better than The Wire (which I started watching late, thinking it couldn't be better than Lost) and honestly it is a HARD debate to have. The Wire does things Breaking Bad could never do, and Breaking Bad does things The Wire never did. Here is how I

thanks to @avclub-2f2b7ca7553ba4230cad836ea1125578:disqus , for sort of coming to my defense on this, but yeah tone down the condescension, "do you honestly think." First off, I am not thinking at all about the show's conclusion because hopefully it won't be for a while considering the artistic quality so far. As for

why thank you good sir

I feel like Rick Ross is the type of guy who would feel a weekend isn't complete without seizing or going into cardiac arrest. Life is all about EXCESS for him.

Yeah I wasn't necessarily surprised she died, I was surprised at the suddenness. The non-chalant back and forth with the driver really put you at ease considering the atmosphere of the scene. I think I just liked the execution of why I just give you my card, and then the two quick, silenced pops. Just awesomely

What do you mean, "given the talent involved?" Do you mean the producers who worked on 24? Because I don't know if it can be established that just because they worked on that show that they are neo-cons. Also the only established bad guy is the fictional new head of Al-Qaeda. There is really no debate that Al-Qaeda is

To be frank, I think you are misreading the show. I think there is a clear examination of the obsessive need to fix, protect and pre-empt death and destruction in Claire Danes character as well as an uncomfortableness with her voyeurism. I am on your political wavelength, but the point of storytelling is to take the

I honestly thought this was an A grade episode. Even taking Breaking Bad into account I have not been as shocked by an on-screen death as I was with Lynne's in a long time. It was just so sudden, and yeah the alleyway was sketchy, and she was getting into a strange limo, but I thought they would kidnap her not shoot

I like that…a lot. Meth lab under the car wash? Ingenious. The only hitch would be getting Skylar involved. You think she would just be okay with him dealing meth when he doesn't HAVE to anymore?

I have been craving many of the same things. i want Jesse's family as a whole to return, not necessarily just the brother. I would love to see Jesse in Walt's class to get an idea if maybe there was always this admiration on Jesse's part or affection from Walt in some way.

I too thought they might be FBI, but they way they drew their guns when they thought they heard somebody suggests a NO, to me. What reason would they have to think it was dangerous? Also, could the FBI just break into his house like that?

I agree it is the best new show of the fall. I was reminded a lot of 24, but let's face facts, Claire Danes is the superior actor (well, actress) and this story is already being told with much more nuance. Where 24 sometimes felt like justification for torture, this show is simply about truth-seeking and how hard it

I really like this two tier idea. There is the Instant Classics, and the really great episodes of television. The only episode that lost my interest even slightly was Halloween/Ellie. Oh and the numbers aren't arbitrary even with the tiers.
OH, and I love lists, hence why I come to this site religiously.

Don't get me wrong it is a "fun" episode but it is still an unnecessary one for the arc of the series.
