@avclub-bde03a31feb6259716046ea17db6e426:disqus I didn't mean to suggest that Is This It and SFTC, SFTS, et al. absolutely compelled listening all the way through the way The Fragile/Kid A/Vespertine arguably do. Still, their extractable singles notwithstanding, in my experience everyone in fact *had* and played those

No Angel Deradoorian (the best voice) this time around either. Boo hoo.

I guess I don't quite buy Hayden's Raging Bull/End of Alt-Era/a-cd-in-an-mp3-time analysis. Kid A was in 2000, promptly went to #1, and was a listen-to-the-whole-thing-until-you-like-it experience for almost everyone. Similarly for Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea that year. And similarly, for example, for

Hill's A Little Romance is corny but oh so cute, with one of the great last shots.

Help!'s the ultimate head-trip if you've ever been in a band, tried to write songs, etc.. The Beatles had almost no time to write new songs for the film and still they came up with Help!, Ticket to Ride, You've got to Hide your love away, and You're going to lose that girl. Yesterday was completed too late for the

Hmm, I think Indian Song is great, easily one of the 3 or 4 best tracks on the album. If that's your biggest problem, go all in on 'perfect' I'd say.

The Drowners single (Suede's first) had My Insatiable One and For The Birds as b-sides/bonus tracks. Best single I've ever actually bought, and also Suede's peak. They never showed quite that range and pop-genius again IMHO.

Beginning sounds like early OMD. And, yes, that appears to be a mellotron on stage. I'm kind of intrigued…

@Martha. I agree. My guess is just that M's always been able to bounce back from disappointing albums before, and that she, like hopeful fans, just assumed she'd be able to crank out something that's as good as Confessions or Music again. Wrong. Now she's stuck with release dates and having to sell the damn thing,

You left out Kate Bosworth: The Completely Forgettable One
Also, ugh and Milla J. does not compute, she's: The Married the Wrong Paul Anderson One.

Right, and as the movie ends you're still not completely sure why Tilda Swinton does what she does (the film hardly gives us a look at her face throughout the film to ensure we can't read her clearly when the crisis hits), and what was that again with the baby? It's only thinking it over immediately afterwards, as it
