I thought I was the only one even slightly aware of Sleepy LaBouef.

@Maswa
Dude, keep it up.
Good times
Maybe I'm a book snob, but "Maximum Overdrive" (the film) exemplifies how most King books read to me.
As a young man I liked "The Dead Zone" and "The Shining" (shortly after publication) but I thought "The Stand" was populated with cardboard cut-out characters and his writing never worked for me after that.
My G/F's favorite Films:
Pretty Woman
Grease
I'm not better just different.
You mean rug pee-ers didn't do this?
Shawshank Redemption?
@Magnus
I chuckled out loud over that.
Touche.
Marley and Me with a doggie voice over…
I gotta feeling
hijinx
are going to ensue.
Steven King Books to Film
It's been over 30 years since anyone made a Steven King novel into anything even closely resembling a good film (and that took Kubrick).
I moved from the greater Madison (WI) area to the sticks.
Borders was on the edge of town making it an easy stop on the way to the hinterlands.
Just the smell of their overpriced coffee could get me into a book buying jag.
I particularly remember buying travel guides there.
Pick out three, sit on their sofa and peruse…
Parks & Rec is the Office with all the roles (very) slightly tweaked, isn't it?
What is this boob war you speak of?
I'm older, lament the passing of bookstores as an entity, but I'm all but positive CD's are a lost cause.
Umm…
Maybe she was right she was right.
(With the possible exception of Jim Backus)
Lt. Obvious being obvious here:
There actually (cinematically - or T.V.-ically) was a "Supercar".
It was piloted by disturbing puppets (marionettes?).
Old
It happens.
To the lucky and the smart.
Was Tina Louise a bitch?
She had some serious acting bona fides prior to G.I.
@ EOB
That in itself is almost as tragic as the El being destroyed
Damned dirty apes
